Background: I live in an apartment complex where the "garages" (if you could even call them that) are so incredibly tiny that the majority of renters park in the parking spots next to the buildings. I drive a wide car so I have no chance if fitting into a the garage.

The car I have was passed on to me when my grandfather passed and happened to have a handicap placard. I recently have started taking night classes to further my education and every night I come home close to midnight. Since most everyone is parked in the parking spots and not the garage, there a never any spots available.

Except the aforementioned handicap spots. Now these spots are right next to my building and there are 4 of them. Last month I parked farther away and walked to my place, but kept an eye on those spots to see if anyone used them. Nobody ever does.

So I decided since I get home at 12am and im gone by 6am, that I would use the placard and park in those spots. I was having tea with my neighbors today and told them about my hack and they called me rude and inconsiderate.

Even though I've seen no one use them and it saves me 5 minutes of walking, AITA?
