AITA for inviting friends over on a weekend trip with my girlfriend?

Post Body

Let me explain, my girlfriend's family lives in a city about 5hrs away from where we live now. Her grandparents are super homophobic and her grandma recently found out she's dating me, but they kind of just ignore it and don't mention it. Her mother is super against tattoos and the fact that I don't have a college/university education (I have a solid job in the music industry at 22 y/o so I'm still not a deadbeat imo) so I have to wear long sleeve shirts and take an verbal lashing everytime I see her.

So my girlfriend asked me to drive her to see her family, so I said yes and asked my business partner and one of my artists to join us so I can drop off my girlfriend with her family and keep myself busy the rest of the weekend. My girlfriend lost it and said I'm super selfish because I fucked up her plans, because she wanted the drive to be just the two of us.

My business partner also offered to use his car since it does almost double the distance mine does on a tank of gas and the car is bigger so more comfortable and since he's also an Uber driver, the mileage doesn't really matter on the car, whereas mine is getting up there.

Am I the asshole for inviting people so I don't feel depressed and lonely the entire weekend and still bring my girlfriend to see her family?

TL; DR I'm not welcome at my gf's family's place, they live 5hrs away, she asked me to drive her for the weekend, so I invited 2 friends to split the drive and keep me company while she's with her family. She says I'm selfish for it.
