AITA for taking long time with hair and having boyfriend try to make it inside my house
Post Body

To give preface, I had a trip planned to go out of town to see my family for a short amount of time.

My bf who i'll call chuck agrees to take me and pick me up from the airport. All this is happening before a stay at home order for our state.

I leave Chucks house that tuesday afternoon around 2pm to go to friend Mia house for hair appointment. No time frames of when I would be home or anything discussed.

I make it to mia house about after a hour drive. Half way through doing my hair Mia starts to feel very ill. We take constant breaks. I ask would she just like to undo the style and should we stop, which she says no to.

We are still doing my hair when chuck calls at 10:30 pm, did not hear from him any time before that. He says he is ready to leave where he is to come to my house. I explain to him im not finish and Mia was sick but I would call my roommate to let him in the house. He says to hurry up because there is a curfew and he doesn't want to be outside past it. I try to explain to him no such curfew exist, that's not how our order is mandated, but I will still try to find a way for him to get into my house.

I call my roommate who doesn't answer the phone. Leave text message. I call chuck back saying no answer, but go knock on door. He states he doesn't want to do that because "its late at night I don't want them to think someone is breaking in, I need a answer in the next 5 minutes or i'm driving home".

Mia reminds me that our other friend has keys to my house and could possibly let him in. I call my other friend and I call chuck back and tell him my friend would drive over with keys and let him in, he just needs to be on his way.

Right as the call has ended between me and chuck my roommate text me back saying they would unlock the door. So I recall chuck and cancel previous arrangement.

While he is on his way to the house, Mia has worsened, have to take her to hospital. Chuck notifies me the door was locked when he got there, but got in. I explain to him that I might still take a while to get home due to now having to take mia to the hospital.

I make it home around 2am. Chuck is clearly upset but won't talk so I take the time to pack my bag for my trip and try to jump into bed for a quick nap before my flight.

I come back from my trip and he ignores me the whole ride home. He doesn't say anything just looks at me and drives off. I don't hear from him for days when he sends me a string of text that state he feels I was disrespecting him due to how long I took, there was a curfew (which there is not), and that he had to bang on my door to be let inside, and that I wasted his time which was important to him. I explain I understand his feelings, but can't control life nor people.

He is very convinced I am in the wrong and that I "knew all along" that I would be gone so long. Which I didn't.

So I must ask AITA?

TL:DR

Friend gets sick in middle of doing my hair, boyfriend has hard time getting inside home due to event. Feels betrayed.
