AITA for asking why drinking/drinking to excess seems so normalized?

Oki, so I'm newly sober. I'm watching YouTube on my downtime at work and scrolling Facebook. It seemed like every ad on YT was booze, then I see one of those "mommy needs wine" memes. So I just posted a status wondering why drinking is so normalized.

I know that was probably my first mistake, but I mean, I just don't get it: like we have whole holidays basically about getting wasted, and it's advertised like cereal. Hell, they stopped advertising cigarettes like that, and people would probably think the same if there were memes saying shit like "mommy needs her crack!"

Anyway, I just wanted to give context, I just asked why it seems like no big deal when it has serious health risks, and why alcoholism is treated more like a lifestyle than a health issue. I never beat my keyboard saying it needed to be banned or anything.

Suddenly one of my best friends messages me saying "I love you, but I'm disappointed." I ask why and she says to check my status. Turns out she wrote this long ass comment basically saying I'm on shitting on people (which I said I wasn't in the post, because I honestly wasn't), just let them do what they wanted and get off my high horse. She also had some kinda snidey comments like "we aren't gonna ban peanuts because people are allergic" and "y'know those ads are based on searches."

I explained to her I wasn't saying any of that, and I just was curious. I ended up deleting the post to avoid the same dilemma happening further, and we made up and moved on, but I still feel a little icky about the whole situation. I honestly wasn't trying to be a dick, I just wanted to say something I was wondering, and it kinda hurt that she was implying I'm being holier than thou for it. We're good now, but I still can't help but feel weird and wonder if I was being a dick.

Sorry for the format by the way, on mobile, and thanks ahead of time for the input.
