AITA for planting stuff in my parent's yard?

Post Body

Ok so i just got in a fight with my dad cause he's telling me my garden has no defined borders (it does but stuff has grown over and also they're scrap pieces anyway so not really continuous) and i'm pissed that he constantly mows the shit i plant down. For context i live in my parent's house, pay partial rent, and the stuff i'm planting i have purchased myself.

During the argument he comes out with how i never asked permission to plant things and how he had plans for the front yard area i landscaped, which was leaving it empty (it's the strip of lawn along the front edge of the property and the road).

Tl;dr am i the asshole for planting stuff in unused spaces?
