AITA for not letting my housemate use my rice cooker?
Post Body

Disclaimer, this happened a while ago but I'm just curious if I was the a-hole in this situation. It's not a big deal, I'm just curious as to what people in this sub has to say about this situation from a neutral standpoint.

I have a personal rice cooker that I bought and used occasionally. One of my housemates would often just leave the rice sitting in there so it would be difficult to clean out. She'd eventually clean it out, but I'd have to remind her, and it'd often still have food residue, or she'd just leave it out to dry for days (instead of putting it back into the cabinets).

I eventually told her that she couldn't use it, and she said she understood. A couple months go by, and she'd start using it again. So I ended up just hiding it since I was sick of having to remind her to clean my stuff.

The only reason I feel like I may be TA in the situation is because 1) it's a cheap rice cooker and 2) I didn't use it often, so it wasn't like I needed it whenever she'd forget to clean it.

So, AITA for not letting my housemate use my rice cooker?
