AITA for demanding information about my father?

Post Body

So I 33M have never been given any information about my bio father. My mom knows who he is but will not give that information to anyone. My grandparents on her side are long since passed. The only information she will give me is that he died of an overdose back in his early twenties. I don’t have his name. I don’t have any information on his family. I don’t know for sure that he didn’t have other kids. According to my mom he didn’t, but since I can’t get any info about him, I don’t know that for sure. She says that any potential genetic defects are pretty much covered under her family. This has been an argument for my whole life. She absolutely refuses to give anyone any information about him. All she will say is that she has kept this information from everyone for over 30 years and that should tell me that she has a good reason. It just doesn’t make any logical sense to me. I just want to know more about where I come from. I also want to know if there’s anything I should be looking out for on my medical history. So AITA for demanding the information?

Well... Based off the extreme secrecy, any risks only being from her family, and the genetic testing done only showing the moms family... An unfortunate but likely outcome is ... Incest.
