AITA for making an innocent comment?
Post Body

I tend to speak without thinking which has gotten me in the trouble in the past. I just moved to a new area and made a new female friend. I was at her house for the first time and her husband was on the couch. We were eating pizza in the kitchen and she asked if I wanted ranch on my pizza, umm yes please. She pulled out some generic brand and Iā€™m like ā€œ you donā€™t have hidden valley? Itā€™s the bestā€. Her husband ripped me a new one about how he can afford it and why would I say that. I apologized and said it was an innocent comment and I would have said it if they didnā€™t use Heinz ketchup either. He wouldnā€™t let it go and talked down to me about other things I said to the point that I left. Point is was I the asshole? Itā€™s actually really bothering me.
