AITA for not thanking parents for inviting my kid and his friends to their kids party?

Post Body

My son’s school friend invited him to his bday pool party. We don’t really know the family other than being in the same school. Also invited were two other boys that live just a couple doors down from us. One of the other moms from our street dropped the boys all off and I picked them all up. When I pulled up to the house a few party goers were playing in the driveway. One of them was my son. He saw me grabbed his stuff and also found his friends, had them grab their stuff and they just started piling into the car. I never said a word and barely had a chance to put the car in park. When I made sure everyone didn’t leave anything behind and they were all buckled up, I drove off. I arrived early so we were the first ones to go. I figured I’d get out of the way of the incoming rush of cars but should I have atleast stopped in and said thank you?
