So I (16f) had prom like a few weeks ago. And my mom and brother and his friend and my friend went.

Now here is the thing my friend doesn't like to dance. The only way he can dance is with steps. If he don't know the steps then he ain't dancing. Which is fine. So during the party we did dance but it wasn't alot we mostly kinda just chilled. But eventually people started dancing so we danced a bit. Later though I saw this really cute girl like she was really pretty.

My friend saw how I would look at the girl and stuff and he told me to go talk to her and to go dance with her.

I told him no because I came with him and that I needs to dance with him. But he said it's fine and that I can dance with other people.

I asked him are you sure your okay with that and he said yes. So that's what I did. I talked to the girl and I got her number and we danced for a few songs. But I would see my mom giving me a look and she eventually told me to go dance with my friend again.

So I told her that my friend didn't like to dance and that he told me it was okay to dance with the girl. But my mom said no I need to dance with him. I told him and he gave a look that said "really".

He said. "Your mom knows I don't like to dance."

Later during the night thought we ened up just dancing together and we had fun. But then when we where driving home my friend tells me I shold bring his cousin to prom next year.

I told him I'm not allowed to do that since my mom doesn't want people to think I'm a lesbian. Jokes on her people already think im a lesbian. Hell my ex boyfriend's mom thought i was a lesbian! And i had already asked to bring a friend that was a girl and I immediately got told no because I'm only allowed to bring a guy.
