Little background im 22m my girlfriend is 19f and we are living in a small 3 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment where i am paying for most if not everything of the household. My girlfriend lets call her mary has been out of work for almost a year now since her dad died and i have been working for twice as long letting her know that i can pay for the bills until she is ready to work again. But its not just the bills i am paying for i am also paying for food rent and utilities marys mom just recently got a part time job and is only paying for what i dont pay for. I am only posting because i work full time and make between 700$ to 1000$ each paycheck every 2 weeks but after bills im left with less than half and mary tells me that we need money to last us the next 2 weeks. Here is where i want to know if i am the asshole since i pay for everything in a apartment of 7 people after bills and everything, i want to spend my money on things i want since i buy mary everything she wants because she says she always depressed and stuffed animals and concerts make her happy. But she doesn't seem to care that i want things too and somehow I'm the asshole because i want gaming stuff like an occulus. So am i the asshole
