AIO - Girlfriend Waited Until After Christmas To Get Me Gift

Post Body

My (39) girlfriend (33) of two years who says she loves me waited until New Year’s Eve to buy me a Christmas gift. A Bluetooth set of earbuds you can find basically at any CVS. But it’s not about the gift per se. She spent a whole lot of time and energy putting gift bags together for women at the church, bought her coworkers some gifts etc. Spent time visiting these people on Christmas Day.

She made plans for me to come over and see her Christmas night. Then she switched up on me and told me not to come Christmas night because her mom was there. Weird reason, I know her mom and we like each other. I didn’t understand this at the time and I tried not to get upset about it. I wasn’t going to be free to make it to her place until New Year’s Eve. I had gifts for her and her kid I was wanting to give to her. Well she tells me when I got there that she didn’t get my gift till that same day.

Was she planning on changing up plans on me last minute the whole time? Last year for Christmas she gave me a book and when I opened it up at work the next day I saw that it was a book that her ex husband was given by her ex mother in law. It had a nice note written in big black sharpie to him right as you opened the book.

I feel like she doesn’t really love me and doesn’t care much about me at all. Am I over reacting?

Edit: I forgot to mention that I picked up and moved towns 3 hours away from where I am from to be close to her.
