I just had my bachelorette party.
We had a nice dinner reservation and it was supposed to be our fancy night out.
While getting ready to go out, I had put out a white dress to iron. I had shown the girls the dress the night before and we were excited to pair it with the wedding themed accessories they got me.
I was stunned when my friend pulled out a white dress and showed the rest of us that that's what she would be wearing. I really didn't know if I should say anything at the risk of sounding like a bridezilla but luckily my other friend stepped in and convinced her it was weird to wear a white dress because people would mistake her for the bride to be. It took some convincing and back and forth, but ultimately she wore something else (white shirt and colored skirt).
I'm not upset or mad, just stunned. Am I over reacting? I figure most people in the US know that white is off limits for bachelorette, bridal showers, and weddings. I take extra care to avoid it, maybe others don't?
