Over the years I’ve run into people when telling them things about myself (30m), especially the opposite sex…shortly after they ask “do you have any pictures of…whatever it was. So I’ll show them an old picture or something. Sure. But almost always I immediately lose reapect for that person and see them as lower class — because my instincts tell me they have a social circle / community that actively deals with dishonesty. And that verifying things has become normalized because being g around liars is normalized. For me, how I was raised, values are the most important and arguably more of a high class presentation. So when I see this “verification” action, it comes off to me as a low quality person. Am I overreacting?
