The $51,000 settlement he declined was from his employer.... not the cops or the cities they worked for.
Title is misleading. He got settlements from the police encounters for about over $2,000 and $5,000.... so about $8,000 total.
Very interesting encounters though that show how cops lie and are manipulative and even somewhat hostile.
