In the USA four presidents are memorialized on Mt Rushmore. Presumably the four best/most important. Who would be on the Mt Rushmore of Alternative Rock?

1) Bowie - there would be Alternative Rock without Bowie, but Alternative Rock wouldn’t be what it is today without him?

2) The Clash - Without a doubt one of the most influential early Alternative Rock groups!

3) Nirvana - ended the worst period of the rock era (Hair Metal) with one song!

4) This is where you come in! Who’s the 4th face on the Mt Rushmore of Alternative rock?

1 & 2 I don’t see how they could be argued. Nirvana they kicked off the 90s Alternative Rock revolution. However, I recognize due to Kurt’s death they have a small depth or work.
