I'm chasing a sound...

I'm clearly addicted to a certain type of shoe-gazey, dreamy, 3 minute long guitar riff. I could get lost in that sound for hours. I'm 52, so the sound to me is very nostalgic and evocative of some early New Order, Sonic Youth, Radiohead, etc. Modest Mouse can pull it off, some early Jimmy Eat World, We Were Promised Jetpacks, Wisp, etc.
But what are some other bands/songs I'm missing??
I wanna create a long-ass playlist, smoke a little, and get lost.
