Post Body

What would have happened if Germany had invaded France and the Low Countries on Sept. 1, 1939 rather than Poland? The British Expeditionary Force would not have been mobilized and on the Continent and France would have been caught flat footed. Would Italy have been successful in its push along the Mediterranean into France? Would Britain have cut its losses and sued for peace if France collapsed before the end of 1939? What would the USSR & US do, if anything? Would it change things with Japan in Asia and the Pacific?
