It might sound blasphemous but I'm pretty torn on whether I like Spencer or not. I know his character has a tough life and is a reasonable and morally sound character given his circumstance(s). However, I question whether I actually like his character. I find myself getting annoyed by Spencer way more frequently than I feel like I should. His perpetual seriousness, hardheadedness, and complete lack of humor is quite unbecoming. Add in the fact that he is supposed to be this incredible football player yet he is short, slow, unathletic, and doughy for a top recruit and I honestly think he kind of sucks. I want to like him but I don't think I do.
