Parcel not Picked Up - Being Sent Back to Sender

My mobile app of my Delivery Service and my AliExpress did not get me a notification when the parcel arrived. I checked the mobile app and it did not update properly, so I did not know that my parcel was being delivered and thus I also didn't check AliExpress because I could always trust my Delivery Service so far. Now the problem is that they are sending the parcel back to the sender. Will I get a refund for my purchase, or is my money gone forever?
