Advice needed on unwanted order that I tried (twice) to cancel

Post Body

I ordered a suitcase from an AliExpress seller. I tried to clarify the size several times but just got unclear answers. I finally got an answer after days of back and forth messages. Turns out it will be smaller than I thought. I ordered the next size up and tried twice to cancel the order - it had not yet shipped. Despite my two cancellations, the original order shipped out along with my new order a few days later.

I have been messaging the seller daily to get me a return label to I don't have to pay to ship back the one that was the wrong size. They are giving me the royal runaround (plus constantly calling me 'dear' which bugs the shit out of me).

The last I heard from them was that they would refund me (purchase price? Shipping? Who knows?) once they receive the item back from me.

I have a feeling that if I pay for shipping (which will likely be costly from the US to China for a bulky item) I will never see the shipping money again. And I'm not so sure about the refund on the item itself either.

Not sure what to do here. I'm leaning towards refusing the package and doing a credit card charge back for the cost of the item.

Any other ideas? I could accept the item, do the chargeback and then tell them I'm happy to send it back if they send me (can be by email) a prepaid shipping label.

I'm leaning towards the first solution (refuse package, do a chargeback and hope they don't dispute it), unless anyone has a better idea.
