Area 51M R1 Upgrade questions....

Post Body

So recently I just bought an Alienware Area51M R1 off of eBay. I know this laptop has received a lot of flack because of what Dell has done with it, but I've used one before and they are amazing computers, which is why I bought it.

The laptop is in near perfect condition, with a base configuration of an i7-9700K and a RTX 2060, 32 GB of RAM, and a 500 GB Samsung EVO 970 Pro Plus and a 1 TB SSD. I currently have a Alienware 15 R3, that has a 4K screen, a GTX 1080, 32 GB of RAM, a i7-7820HK processor, 2, 1 TB NVME 2280 SSD's, and a 2 TB 2.5 inch SSD. I want to be able to use all of my drives in the area 51M, including my RAM to upgrade it to 64 GB. But I also want to install an i9-9900K, and a RTX 2070 in that Area51M I just bought. I just found a RTX 2070 upgrade module on eBay for around $425 that I bought to put in the Area 51M, so I really need advice on how to proceed to install it.

I looked everywhere, trying to find a guide on how to upgrade the RTX 2060 to the 2070, and how to put a i9-9900K in the R1, and I couldn't find a guide, but I have found bits and pieces of information here there. I have found that if you bought the base model with the i7-8700, that Dell disabled one air vent and so the fans will work on only one side, but if you got the RTX 2060 model with the i7-9700K, both fans work, is this true?

I'm also wondering, would I need to flash a bios update after upgrading the GPU? The seller I bought the iGPU from said that sometimes when upgrading the GPU on the Area51M R1 you need to do a blind BIOS flash because the computer will turn on and off after the GPU upgrade, is this true?

Will I need a new heatsink for i9-9900K and 2070 install, or can I use the current one in the laptop and just repaste with grizzly kryonaut? I know I need a bigger power brick, I went ahead and bought the 330W one to add to the 180W charger that comes with it.

I figured I would come on here and ask everyone, because someone has upgraded the GPU on one of these things, and knows how to do it the right way, so I figured I was ask. Please any help is appreciated.
