Howdy Albany friends...

My mother, bless her heart, sent me her old KitchenAid mixer. Its been in the family since I was a kid and I am 41 now. Its kinda beat up a bit, and has been in storage for quite a while before she sent it to me. While everything works, it has a bit of a smell when running (though no smoke). One of the knobs split in half and fell off too (likely during transport). I'm looking for recommendations for repair/restorations. I am not savvy with items like this and don't necessarily trust myself to take it apart, clean it up, potentially diagnose the smell and put it back together correctly. If ya'll have recommendations, I would be grateful.
