Just thought I'd post a couple videos of my Mal and Golden at play. Just a little background info to go along.
Homer (our Golden Retriever) has been with us since he as a puppy and is now 13 years old. He has lost a lot of his eyesight and is showing weakness in his old age so we were a bit concerned about bringing another dog into our home.
We adopted Scarlitt in January. She is 5 years old and is a retired breeding dog. She had 4 litters over the years but her most recent litter in December (12 puppies) really took a toll on her physically and emotionally. So the breeder felt it was time for her to retire and live out the rest of her years in a home.
We were concerned about the two dogs getting along as Homer was never raised with another dog and didn't have much socialization with other dogs during his life. But to our surprise, they get along great.
Here are a couple videos of them playing together. I find it funny how silent they are when they play other than the thumping on the ground. Scarlitt has definitely breathed some life into the old man! He holds his ground pretty well for a 13 year old dog.
