Hello everyone,
A few months ago, I watched an amazing talk by Alan Watts, but I can't seem to find it again. In this speech, he dives into reality and consciousness, creating a captivating story about our endless desire for things to feel more real. He starts with the radio, pointing out how it wasn’t enough for us. Then comes television, which also didn't fully satisfy our craving. He explains how we constantly want to immerse ourselves in what we’re watching and listening to, to the point where we want to be inside the drama show we’re viewing. Eventually, he suggests that we might create such realistic experiences that we wouldn’t be able to tell if we were in a show or not.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? I'd love to rewatch it, so if you have any idea which talk this is, please let me know!
Thanks in advance!
