Finished Alan Wake the other night (haven't done the DLCs yet) and loved it. I'd thought all I had to play for Alan Wake 2 was this and Control, but I looked into it and turns out there's a bunch of other side material too.

So I watched Bright Falls last night and it was awesome. But I feel really confused about a couple aspects of it.

I get the general purpose was to show someone slowly getting taken by the darkness, and maybe hint that Hartman is up to some shit, but I'm a little confused on how abruptly Jake Fischer's story ends. I glanced at the wiki quickly to see if he was brought up again in another game but that doesn't seem to be the case.

I like the mystery about what Jake is even up to in the town but I'm confused why a couple things were left open. Who was Libby? And who was the girl he met up with at the town? There seemed to be some history there and she has a weird phonecall at the end with someone right before they disappear.

Curious what the AW community thinks of this. Is this something that could potentially be explored in AW2, or am I just overthinking this and Bright Falls was just meant to be an interesting side series and build hype up for Alan Wake?
