My partner and I have been together for over 3 years, but she typically goes to spend Christmas with her homophobic family, so I’m unwelcome. Because of the pandemic, that isn’t happening this year and I was so excited for us to have out first Christmas together!

Unfortunately, I didn’t know that my state bans alcohol sales on Christmas day. Last night, she asked if they’d be open and I figured that at least some place would have alcohol and said as much. But now she’s accusing me of “lying and manipulating her.” I’ve already spent 3 hours driving to 10 different places trying to find it before I found out the ban was statewide. But she doesn’t care, says she doesn’t want to talk to me or see me.

It sucks having a partner who loves alcohol more than she loves me.
