Are landings different/faster than they used to be?
Post Body

Hi - just a quick question. I fly around 4-5 times a year, almost exclusively on SWA. I feel like in the past - say more than 6-7 years ago - when approaching a landing on arrival the plane would slow way down before landing. Even before the landing on approach it would often feel like the plane was gliding for a while. Now I notice that you can barely tell that the landing is coming, like the plane has barely slowed down at all from cruising speed! - and then we hit the ground hard and throw on the brakes. Am I imaging this? I was thinking maybe it's a newish policy that permits more cycles or something? Thanks for an answers!
