Investigator for clearance

I put in all the info for my clearance and have an investigator assigned according to my recruiter but, have never heard a word from them nor have any the people I put down. I think that they will call me for sure because of my travel around the world and dual-citizenship with the UK. I ship out in February and was assigned in August. Is this normal?
