Hey guys, I’m currently in the army reserves E-5 and switching to Air Force active duty in the next month or 2. Just waiting on my final signature from my command on the conditional release. My wife is an active Air Force officer and will be reporting to Eglin AFB end of next month.
The job list for prior service is pretty short and not many “good” or fun jobs in my opinion. Since Eglin is home to a lot of operations guys, I’m hoping to find a job that will put me in direct support of operators so I can work and train with them. I’m avoiding going directly in to special warfare as it takes a hard toll on married couples and their families.
When it comes down to it, I want a job that’s just fun and can get me to in the high speed tabbed schools before I finish my degree and go acquisitions officer and sit behind a desk.
Another avenue I’m thinking about is taking whatever job I can so I can get in and switching jobs when I do my required time in that AFSC.
