I've noticed some really polarizing takes on people's experiences with a high (around 95 , and especially people with 99) asvab, and was wondering if anyone could shed some light on whether or not peers, as well as the officers/instructors treat you differently as a result of this. Some people seem to take it personally, while others crack jokes about instructors either treating you more harshly or reading you an extra bedtime story.
From the way I see things, I feel like most people would just acknowledge it once and move on with their life, but does it really make a difference, compared to a score such as 80? Do they get more privileges/different treatment in BMT and tech, such as leadership opportunities or other things? I feel like the whole thing is overblown simply because it's reddit.
The same thing goes for the other end of the spectrum, does a bad ASVAB score mean you receive stricter discipline? Most people probably get treated the same, but was wondering if people behave differently, knowing the "performance" of their peers.
Since being in the only time I’ve ever asked about someone’s ASVAB was when they did something dumb
