Myophia (nearsighted)

So I had Myophia my entire life and I’m really scared of getting disqualified. Meps scheduled me an eye consult on the 18th on January but I couldn’t wait that long so I scheduled an eye exam for the 4th (yes I know meps won’t pay for it). So I just wanted to know is it common for people with Myophia to join the Air Force? My recruiter said his whole time recruiting he had one person with Myophia and he got disqualified.
