I'm thinking about joining the AF as a means of changing/refreshing my career path.
I am 25y/o with a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering. I have almost 4 years of experience in the semiconductor fab industry doing fabrication in the cleanroom and I don't enjoy it one bit.
I'm also having so much trouble finding jobs that I'm qualified for that aren't technician jobs or semiconductor fabrication jobs.
I wonder if joining the AF and gaining experience in cybersecurity or furthering my EE skills is a good idea. The way I feel right now is that I'll be stuck in a dead end job doing chip fabrication for the rest of my life.
What does joining the AF with a college degree look like? What is employability look like after the AF?
