INSTRUCTION NUMBER 1001.01

SUBJECT: Limiting the Use of chatgpt in the r/airforce Subreddit

References:

DoD Directive 1325.6, "Moderation of Online Communities"

PURPOSE.

This instruction provides guidance for limiting the use of chatgpt in the r/airforce subreddit to ensure the quality and relevance of content on the subreddit.

APPLICABILITY.

This instruction applies to all members of the Department of Defense who use chatgpt in the r/airforce subreddit.

POLICY.

It is the policy of the Department of Defense to encourage the responsible use of chatgpt in the r/airforce subreddit and to prevent excessive or irrelevant chatgpt posts from diluting the quality of content on the subreddit.

PROCEDURES.

a. Members of the r/airforce community should limit their use of chatgpt to ensure that the results they post are interesting, informative, and on-topic.

b. Members should avoid posting excessive amounts of chatgpt results or using chatgpt to spam the subreddit with repetitive or irrelevant content.

c. If necessary, the moderators of the r/airforce subreddit may take action to remove chatgpt posts that violate this instruction or the subreddit's rules and guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITY.

It is the responsibility of all members of the r/airforce community to use chatgpt responsibly and to support the moderators in maintaining the quality of the subreddit.

RELEASABILITY.

Unlimited. This instruction is approved for public release and is available on the internet at https://www.reddit.com/r/airforce.

EFFECTIVE DATE.

This instruction is effective immediately.
