Multi-Level Marketing schemes and military spouses/base housing

I just got hit with one of those random "hey you!" messages from a former squadron mate. Knew immediately what it was and the new "amazing outstanding crazy" product shes selling and needs a team kinda message. However dumb that was it got me thinking about base housing and military spouses and how its a rampant disease around us. Anyone got any good stories related to MLM's or what is the predominant one around you?
