With all of the issues we have with our computers (which I assume go way before I joined in 2013), has switch to Linux desktops ever been considered? While I assume that plenty of our servers are Linux-based, we have pretty clunky workstations. Obviously, I harbor no illusion that a mid-Wednesday Reddit post will turn into a DoD-wide change by the following Monday, but it seems like the benefits of Linux (security, stability, free software) would make this a potentially beneficial move. I'm curious if there has ever been a push for it to happen in the past, and/or are there reasons that we stay with Windows?
