So One of my great friends from tech school is getting married this Saturday and thereās a couple of us from class still in the United states that are going. We all planned on taking leave Friday so we could leave today after work since we all have to travel a couple states to get there (including the guy getting married) His leave has been put in for months now and was approved. One of the guys from our class happens to work in the same shop as him and when he went to ask his supervisor about it, the man completely ignored the question and he did this for days straight, he even went and asked the shop chief about it and we know how that went āask your supervisorā so days go by and 3 days ago he asked him again and the dude said āis there anyway he can just not get married this weekend?ā And starts hysterically laughing about it. So yesterday he tries to ask one more time, because keep in mind heās never said yes or no yet, and he says āyouāre not getting the day offā because he allowed another one of his troops the day off instead the day before. My buddy had been trying to get it off for 2 weeks.
Has anyone else ran into stuff like this? Or had a supervisor who was just a complete jerk?
