Kobalt 6gal. Pancake air compressor run after every use! This can't be normal?
Post Body

So I got a new compressor about 6 months ago because my porter cable pancake overheated and died. So I got this little kobalt guy on sale for $99 thinking it was a steal! Well I'm cleaning out my workshop and just like the title says every little burst of air kicks this motor on and it's loud AF! Like obnoxiously loud! I even have it in a heat regulated sound dampening box with a thermometer on it to kick on the exhaust fans and can still hear it from damn near the front street! Now don't get me wrong, I expected it to charge up here and there, but I mean within 1 ~ 2 seconds after pulling the trigger it kicks on and seems to run an almost full cycle. Is this common with the kobalt compressors or is this one a dud? I know my porter cable didn't operate like this. Nor does my craftsman 8gal hotdog compressor. Also, yes I'm aware a bigger tank can hold more between charges but this seems to be unreasonable. Any ideas if something could be wrong, or is this just "it is what it is" kinda deals?
