Worth it to bring it upmarket? (invest in luxury furniture and decor?)

What I have isn't bad but I'm considering spending 10-20k on luxury furniture/bedding/towels/etc. Make it look like a versace suite. It currently books for 500/night in summer and winter is slow at 250 or less. 2 bed 2 bath penthouse. My question is have any of you tried to bring it upmarket and was it worth it?
