Iāve been wanting to post my interactions with this one co-host āJasonā after realizing he has 2200 listings ALL of which are hotel rooms, and NON of them even contain the word hotel anywhere in the main description/title, with little/hidden to no info about additional hotel/resort fees. The extent to which he took these lies for such a small detail seems kind of dangerous to me. Hidden hotel fees suck and why you should rarely book hotels through 3rd party, but I obv know about them and have paid them before. I refuse for something like this for such an unexpectedly high amount.
- First pic is screenshot of the original listing at the time I booked/when I was trying to check in. 2nd pic is the confirmation message and check in instructions I received after I booked my stay and first info of any resort fees.(I never check these messages until I have issues getting inside/checking in to my stay)
Next slides from trying to check in late at night with support, and then itās just the full convo with the co-host Jason. Around slide 12 is the time he edits the whole listing to get the true screenshot for proof. Luckily support had already seen the original and saw when the listing was edited
I donāt think many people use Airbnb with intention of booking a hotels, which is why this co-host Jason intentionally misleads and tricks people into booking something they otherwise wouldnāt with complete information.
Hereās the listing I booked 10 days ago, you can click on the co-host āJasonā to see all his other listings.

Iām surprised Airbnb has never done anything about this, it seems like he can make unlimited listings for whichever hotel he wants whether the last listing was removed or reported to the groundā¦ no trouble for jason, heās ready to put up the replacement instantly!
Btw yes I know, everyone can be smarter before making purchases or booking something with already poor ratings. I was in a rush when I booked, obv I could have taken some time before booking ok? Get off my back mom!
