Dealing with something I’d never thought I’d be dealing with right now. I’m traveling from New York to Montreal by myself, just visiting. I confirmed everything with my host last night and told them I’d arrived at 08 am to check in, which she acknowledged and told me the keys would be in the mailbox right next to the door. I arrived at 09 and immediately noticed the keys were not in the mailbox. I ubered from the airport and it’s 5 degrees outside, so the weather didn’t help at all. I called the host and messaged multiple times with no response. I spent the day freezing my ass off carrying my bags around. Um it’s currently 5pm and I’m sitting inside a cafe with nowhere to stay. Most of the local hotels are either booked or 300/ night.
