So I always liked the idea of Called Shots in ToR. To me it made the weapons feel distinct and flavorful and I liked the option of going for high risk and high reward maneuvers.
I’m considering porting over the Called Shots and doing it similar to ToR by giving them a pool of d6’s to use for any given Called Shot equal to their proficiency bonus. To succeed on a Called Shot they have to roll a normal hit AND get at least one 6 from the d6 pool.
So if you want to Break Armour and reduce your foe’s AC, and your proficiency bonus is 3, you would roll it 3d6 and hope for a six.
I’m thinking on successful maneuvers hero’s would still do damage equal to their attribute bonus plus their proficiency bonus.
Thoughts?
