☆☆ update ☆☆
We are using Bay Alarm and it is light years better than anything out there because of multi month battery charge versus short few days in other products. Also setup was totally easy. I am surprised other products even exist bc of the battery issue.

My 82 year old mom is doing great and she lives alone so I thought it prudent to get her a small pendant she can wear that would allow her to press a button to call for help if she falls or has some urgent need and cant get to her smartphone.
All of the options I am seeing online are not wifi they are either landline or a cell service to pay for. The prices are about the same.for buying a whole new cell phone with monthly fee.for her.
She has wifi in her apartment that has always been reliable. If she did fall.and had her smart phone in hand there would be no problem. But the idea is for a small pendant that she could wear on a lanyard all the time so she can just press the button and it would either alert 911 or me and my brother.
Any ideas about this? I'm surprised I cant find something without a monthly fee or some cell connection setup required.
The other factor is it has to be small enough for her to actually wear it all the time. Some battery charge indicator would also seem important or maybe a two pendant system so one charges up while she wears the other and just swaps them on a schedule.
Any help appreciated!
