After the defeat of the Arthe who fought on the side of Panagakam peoples, Arthe society seemed to have entered a backslide, a stagnant period. Trade and goods were more scarce, both from sea and land. The Arthe retreated from some of their mountain homes and terrace farms. In an unexpected turn of events, the descendants of the Panagakam, the Potamam, landed on Arthe shores, hoping to stir up long dead trade routes. Almost like a wake-up call, Arthe began to take a upwards turn. Trade was finally seen at levels not seen for in generations, and ambitious settlers set out to resettle long deserted terraces in the mountains, hoping to take advantage of the remains of whatever buildings remained.
