While most of the other KaiĆ-ke [Clans] of the HasiĆ'garokan had busied themselves in expanding their reach in the HasiĆean Peninsula's hinterland, the KaiĆ-ke Kiteiborsi had another way of furthering their ambitions. Much like the LasiĆos and the SeloniĆ, the Kiteiborsi were quick to trash the old traditions of the HasiĆ to ensure that they would be one of the top contenders in the inevitable war bubbling to the surface.
The Kiteiborsi were people of the sea - but unlike their far-western cousins on the tumultuous shores of Lakuiltumâaunorti [The Atlantic], the Kiteiborsi mastered the art of sailing and traversing the less perilous but hundred-times more profitable waters of the LakuiltumâlabeisiĆ [The Mediterranean]. The Clan became the first point of contact for all isbin'ai [foreigners] with its rapidly growing settlement - Kiteiborea - becoming a large trading hub with ships constantly going in and out of its dock.
In past centuries - Kiteiborea had gotten ships from their Ban'so kinsman from UĆtalai [Africa], but also from the Imitxeak, the Maraskoka, Canaanites, and even the Haracc. This accumulation of trade made the Kiteiborsi one of the wealthiest Clans among the HasiĆ'garokan, and would be on the integral factors in funding their northwards coastal expansion.
The other integral factor is the Silver Road established in the last century by the Ekiar'ildunir [Silver-bloods] - a Ban'so trade dynasty that singularly took control of the silver mines within the lands of the HasiĆ'garokan through brutal proxy conquests and bribery. All of that silver flows through Kiteiborea to go to lands beyond. The Iltiâraretan [Chieftain] of the Kiteiborsi profits immensely from the arrangement and used the accrued wealth to fund expansion efforts to the north of Kiteiborea along the shore.
Alongside conquest of the shore and the 'removal' of the indigenous populations, the Kiteiborsi sought to create a new settlement that would embody their power and influence. The Kiteiborsi always had strong ties with the Ban'so'garokan - with a significant part of the population having direct ancestors to traders and adventurers from the Ban'so'garokan. Therefore, the new settlement along the shores of the LakuiltumâlabeisiĆ would come to be called EskeĆbagaĆoka - New BagaĆoka (the Capital of the Ban'so).
