Hi there, I'm Nick...thanks for taking the time to peruse my post. I've been divorced for coming up on 3 years, and am very ready to find my person. I'm an empty-nester with a small circle who also works from home, so the opportunities for a serendipitous rom-com style meeting are few and far between. Helllooooooo Reddit! ;)

I'm 6', 190lbs, hwp and good-looking. Personality-wise I'm hard-working, witty, playful, honest, strong, attentive, affectionate and loyal, among other traits. I really enjoy great banter and inside jokes. I've done extensive self-work (i.e. counseling), so I will not be bringing past issues into future relationships. Simply put I'm very easy to get along with.

Being from Wisconsin, I tend to hibernate in the winters outside of grabbing a meal/drinks or other indoor activities. Great time to catch up on shows, reading, cooking and gaming. Since gaming is rightfully a controversial hobby in the dating realm, I want to clearly state that if it's not a shared hobby, I would happily place it on the back burner for a partner. I would LOVE if it were a shared hobby; I own all three current gen consoles...but please believe it's not a necessity by any means. I would also enjoy introducing it to someone who is curious but has minimal to no experience.

Will someone please shack up with me so I can cease cooking for one? ;) I kid of course, can't wait to cohabitat with an amazing partner but it's nothing to rush into. Buttttttt cooking for one does blow, and I do enjoy showing affection in the kitchen. Soups, Mexican food, pizzas, mac n cheese, roasted meats, and so on....I can COOK and am good at it. Voracious reader of fiction with a shelf largely comprised of Stephen King (but other good randos too!)

In the summer on, in or near the water is my happy place...I enjoy fishing, swimming, tubing rivers, kayaking, etc. Just sitting by a lake enjoying a drink and some convo is bliss, so long as it's not a million degrees hehe. I also enjoy exploring state parks and new areas, long walks, farmer's markets, festivals, gardening, stand-up comedy, so much more...just getting out and living life, ya know? I will say I'm not into carnival rides or most "adrenaline rush" type things; you'll never catch me bungee jumping or skydiving lol.

Random tidbits about me...I avoid politics for my sanity, but my views are veryyyyyy leftist, so if that would bother you then we're obviously not a match. (Super anti-capitalism of late and that is unlikely to go anywhere, though I would rather NOT endlessly discuss ha.) Cool if you have kiddos but I am all done procreating. Religiously agnostic but not vocal about it. I find faith beautiful at a micro viewpoint, decreasingly so as it scales up into organizational levels. 420 friendly and it'd be dope if you were too, but not necessary for admission. I enjoy a good cocktail but rarely get full on drunk unless it's a special event.

Finally, I'm beholden to remaining in Wisconsin but wildly open to moving within the state when it's time to live together, and willing to do at LEAST half the travel for an LDR. I'm infinitely more of a day person than night owl, #TeamDayDrinking for the win. I can and will have late nights if there's stuff going on, but my career has made me first shift by default.

Soooo what am I looking for? Love, simple right?!? Jokes aside, common interests are one of the greatest building blocks in my opinion. Similar views are another. Age-wise I'm quite wide open, outside of capping it at 5 years older than myself. Please don't do me the disservice of reading that as some banal obsession with physical attractiveness...I don't tie attraction to age. It's because I get a bit existential at times, and would prefer the odds favor my departure from this mortal coil before my partner. So long as we vibe I don't care if you're 25, 50 or anywhere in-between.

Physical attraction, while not the most important, is a necessity. I don't have a type per se; I suppose I slightly favor petite frames (easier to throw over the shoulder hehe) but I also adore curves and play well with them. I will include SFW pics in my initial response, so bonus points if you're brave enough to go first. For a huge portion of my adult life I existed within a dead relationship, so affection and intimacy are very important to me.
