I found this community to ask something that doesn't seem quite usual here. There's many posts around here where people talk about less serious things and more trivial stuff but it would be nice to hear the opinion anyways, or perhaps from someone in a similar situation.

When I was 18, I hooked up with a 47 year old lady from the UK. I'm originally from Montenegro and she was visiting for a summer holiday for 2 months. During this period, we had some really close relationship and she was quite much into the way I think and attracted to my intellect. Long story short, we were having sexual encounters shortly after we met and it was ongoing for good 2 months almost every day. I don't remember well but maybe a week into it and she asked that we drop the condom, which we did. Now fast forward in 2024 a week ago, I'm 34 and she contacts me on LinkedIn. For the record, we didn't have any contact at all ever since but she found me somehow and we decided to have a video call. Introduced me to her daughter and she said that she's mine. To be honest, the girl has this long natural red hair like her mom, but in the facial features it's as if I'm looking myself in a mirror in a female version. It was a huge shock for me. I didn't know where to refer so I decided to try here and see if people would say anything that can help me navigate these waters forward. Apparently, the lady has a husband and they are retired, the girl is 16 attending school and they all know about me already and what happened and have come to terms with everything. I feel a bit angry that she didn't tell me before or at least to stay in touch with me, I would be truly happy about that, but it is what it is. Anyways, feel free to comment, positive or negative, I welcome everyone's opinion as it can help me vastly going forward. Nobody in my family knows and this will surely be extremely shocking so I'm hoping somehow to absorb that fall.

Before you say something about the age difference, I can give you a hint on the situation. So I'm a highly educated individual, with a PhD now and a university professor at 34 and director of research in a famous Telco company. In other words, education was high on my priority list and I have always attracted and being attracted to women who value intellectual qualities and class. Furthermore, the lady didn't look her age at all when we met. So the number is something that many people will find immediately apparent, but in real life it didn't feel like that at all.
