lack of communication due to age difference?

whether you're the older or younger one in the relationship, do you think there is a difference in communication styles that you would say is due to the age difference? or do you think a lack of communication has nothing to do with age but more with the person themselves?

I think most would say it's a generational thing and older people aren't as attached to their phones as the younger generation is. I understand that and sort of agree with that statement but I believe if someone is interested/cares about someone else then they will communicate properly over the phone/text.

I've been debating with myself over this topic, as I'm experiencing this. I want to hear other peoples opinions and thoughts.
