I’m a female, 20 years old and just recently started working in a new place. I never had an age gap relationship or anything and only dated people around my age.

I got this coworker, who happens to be 29 and he’s about to turn 30 in November. We’re not in a relationship, but he’s flirting with me in a nice way. Not a creepy one. He makes me compliments and shows interest in me with a lot of questions. I catched him looking at me a lot of times and it looks like we’re gonna meet today. I actually thought I am being delusional , but I guess not. We were talking about going for a walk and he decided basically that we had to go together. I thought he was joking but we decided to meet today and I even had to promise him to come, because we couldn’t exchange numbers yet. It’s gonna be a surprise if he shows up or not.

I’m really nervous about meeting him and even though the age gap is just 9 years, it’s weird to me. I feel attracted to him but would other people think the age gap is alright? Maybe he also wants to be just friends but I’m not sure tbh and I’m not sure how my parents would react to him either.

Small edit: we are both only working there for around one year. Not more. Normally I would agree with dating at work shouldn’t happen, but in this case we’re both not official workers. It’s more like a volunteering job with animals
