Do many people find they form stronger connections with others from a different generation? Or is it more of a kink for most people?

Iām attracted to the taboo aspect of age gap relationships. But I also require some level of a mental and/or emotional connection for a relationship to be satisfying, even for a more casual relationship. Do many people find making those sort of connections with folks from another age group easier? More difficult? About the same as with people around the same age? Or does it not really matter for some people?
